Tboy Mag was created when I realised that there weren't many positive and inclusive spaces for trans men and mascs, and subsequently I decided I wanted to help create a place for anyone who feels like an outcast even within the queer community, so they can share their life and identity with those who may not be as familiar, or find community where they may not have previously found one.
Of course, a zine can only go so far, but it's up to you guys to help build a community! Sharing resources, teaching queer history, or simply sharing your art in a world that tries to devalue our contributions. It's more important than ever to raise our voices against oppression, and to not let anyone tear our community apart, which is why I have no tolerance for any form of bigotry, TERF or TIRF ideology, or transmedicalist rhetoric that aims to hurt anyone outside of the gender binary. This will not be tolerated here.
My name is Jamie (he/him) and I'm a 21 year old trans guy. I'm mainly a writer, and have been writing for nearly a decade now. This zine was a creative project I wanted to do on the side, and then I spent days learning code just to create this website lol. I've never made an online zine before, but I have made miniature paper zines that I used to leave around town, so this is certainly on a much larger scale to what I'm used to. I don't have a queer community irl, but I've been in and out of online spaces ever since I was a kid, and I've come across all kinds of queer and trans folks from all walks of life. This quickly made me realse that there's no one way to be anything! Like I said, I want this zine to be as inclusive as possible because otherwise what's the point? I'm here for the freaks and weirdos, because they're my best friends.
